Elizabeth "Betty" A. ThienSpringfield - Elizabeth A. "Betty" Thien, 79, of Greenfield, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2025, surrounded by her family, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. She was born June 18, 1945, in Carrollton, the daughter of Adam and Catherine (Behnen) Nord. She married John B. Thien, November 21, 1964 at St. John's Church in Carrollton, and he survives.Also surviving are her daughters, Linda Austin (friend Bobby) of Collinsville, Julie (Steven) Caselton of Carrollton; her sons, Kenny (Donna) Thien of Wrights, and Jeffrey (DeAnna) Thien of Glasgow, KY.; her grandchildren, Brandi (Nathan) Jeffers, Randi Thien (Justin Decker), Tori (Jacob) Lovel, Maxwell Thien, Madilynn Thien, Marshall Thien, and Ruthie Thien; her great-grandchildren, Sophie, Rylie, Andrew, Landon; and Lyndy, a sister, Mary Gillingham; and sister-in-law, Carol Nord; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Joe Nord; a son-in- law, Lance Austin; and h
