Leara "Elaine" NewinghamPatterson - Leara Elaine Newingham, 84, of Patterson, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Scott County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born February 18, 1941, the daughter of Hershel and Meda Berg Hayes. She was happily married to Bill Newingham for 60 years, and he preceded her in death on April 25, 2017.She is survived by her children, William A Newingham, Kathy (Mike) Kleidon, James F Newingham; grandchildren, Landon Newingham, Taylor Dean, Kaitlyn Dean, Blake Dean, Devin Dean, Cory Newingham, Kinsey Newingham, Joshua Newingham, Mathew Newingham; 11 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Carolyn Sue (Ronald, deceased) Kesinger.She is preceded in death by her brothers, Floyd Hayes, James Hayes; sisters, Norma Hayes and Helen Platt.Leara was a postmaster in the Patterson area for over 40 years. She was also a very talented seamstress, even going as far as making Barbie doll clothes for little girls. She was also a very active member of Sandbridge
