Lynda was born April 20, 1936 in Greene County, Carrollton, IL. To Lynn and Helen Shackelford. Graduated from Carrollton High School 1954. Married Henry Linn Brooks June 4, 1955, who preceded her in death September 7, 2018. Lynda Graduated from Lewis and Clark, Godfrey IL with a Degree in Business Administration May 1987 and was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa April 25, 1986.Lynda is survived by two brothers, William Shackelford of Carrollton and Michael (Paula) Shackelford of Woodstock GA.Lynda was a loving mother to three daughters, Debbra Bassett of Louisville, KY, Carol Payne of Jacksonville, IL, and Brenda Steinacher of Manchester, IL.Loving grandmother to 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, an aunt to two nieces, two great nieces and one great nephew.Lynda's career centere
