John C. Griswold White Hall - John C. Griswold, 91, of White Hall passed away Friday, August 23, 2024 at Boyd Memorial Hospital in Carrollton. He was born January 6, 1933 in White Hall to Curtis and Geneve Strang Griswold. He married Billye Obst on August 10, 1963 and she survives. They celebrated their 61st Anniversary this year. He is also survived by his nephews, Joseph Brockman and Louis Brockman and nieces, Sally Dunnagan and Susan Jimenez. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sarah Brockman. John graduated from White Hall High School in 1950 and attended Western Illinois University. He served in the United States Army. After his military service he joined his father in the plumbing and heating business. John was active in the community. He served as President of the Jaycees and President of the White Hall Lions Club. He served on the White Hall Library Board, White Hall Cemetery Board, Boyd Memorial Hospital Board, Greene County Historical Society Board and the Gr
