Donald E. Chapman Greenfield - Donald E. Chapman, 72, of Greenfield, passed away, Saturday, July 27, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. He was born September 3, 1951 in White Hall to Richard and Hilda (Van Meter) Chapman. He married Monze Thornton, September 3, 1969 at Charity Southern Baptist Church in Greenfield, and she survives. Also surviving is a son, Kory E. (Sandy) Chapman of Greenfield, two grandsons, Kory M. Chapman of Greenfield, and Patrick E. Chapman of Alton, four great-grandchildren, Makayla, Hoyt, Riley, and Waylon, a sister, Sandy Kelso of Springfield, brothers, Michael Chapman of Peoria and Raymond (Karen) Chapman of Bloomington, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Linda Brogdon, and two brothers, Richard Chapman Jr. and Robert Chapman. Don was very active in Greenfield. He was a member of the Charity Southern Baptist Church. He served on the Greenfield Fire Protection District for 35 years, and served on the City Council for 30 years,
