David A. Thompson, age 91 of Carrollton passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Springfield Memorial Hospital in Springfield. He was born December 24, 1932 in Bluff City, the son of Chester and Gladys Crable Thompson. He married Evelyn Huppe April 25, 1964 in Arenzville and she survives.
He is also survived by a daughter, Peggy (Kevin) Cleary of Barrington, a son, Curtis (Karen) Thompson of Mount Prospect, a son-in-law, Steve Epperson of Payson, eleven grandchildren, Jordan (Andrew) Hogan, Landon (Melissa) Epperson, Carter (Ashley) Epperson, Riley Epperson, Liam, Sean, Mairead and Quinn Cleary, Sunra (Terrence) Galligan, Patrick and Paige Thompson; five great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Joni Epperson, a sister, Nellie Mae Larson, and five brothers; Merritt, John, Ben, Fran, and Myron Lewis Thompson.
